Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, is a central character in the Fantastic Four comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is renowned for his scientific genius and his ability to stretch, twist, and reshape his body at will.

Richards is the leader of the Fantastic Four, a team of superheroes that includes his wife, Susan Storm (Invisible Woman), her brother Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). The Fantastic Four first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 in November 1961.
